Rishikesh Diary:
A place which will make you to believe that heavens do exists in India.
It all began from Bhopal and after completing 18 hours of long journey by train, I reached to Haridwar. Hotel was pre-booked through OYO service. I gave one complete night rest to my body and then next early morning, I steeped towards Rishikesh which is around 20km from there and started my tour ardently.
It’s a small city with less population and mostly the person next to you will be tourist from worldwide. Since holy river Ganga passes from here so together with adventure and tryst with nature, it gives a sacred touch to devotion, this is the reason for the inclination of all age group people towards it.
Lakshman jhula is a suspension bridge surrounded by temples across the river Ganga. In hindu culture cows are treated as mother so they got a privilege to roam freely along with monkeys, so be aware if you are carrying "Prasad".
Local vendors have made a close market and provide various handicraft products from decorative arts to clothes. In my case I ignore shopping while traveling just to reduce my luggage, so I just see, notice and move.
Around 7 km from this point a place called Neer Gaddu is located which is famous for high altitude waterfall.
If you love to click pictures with water then this place will fill your gallery. The water is extremely clear and flowing. You will easily find pebbles and broken pieces of rocks responsible for improving the quality of water.
What if someone is here to provide you Maggie and cold drinks to have in the middle of water? It’s going to make your day, right? Then yes it’s available here.
The view from here is going to skip your heartbeats.
This whole visit took my complete day. Meanwhile I managed to get lunch from restaurant.
It was evening then and on cue, I got the state service bus, while enjoying the serpentine roads and alluring beauty of nature from my window which was again adding something new experience to my life, I came back to Haridwar.
After this, I spent one day in Haridwar and visited some tourist catching spots of there. I had my scheduled train from there at evening and then I came back to my place together with joining one more chapter to my life.
